Quest was primarily written by Mike Greenholdt. In its early days it was heavily edited by John Woodford and Mary Ellen Testen. The two longest play testers are Gene Masters and Todd Richmond, and they are the ones who have inherited the game, have cleaned up, rewritten, and formatted the manuals for distribution.
With the release of version 3, the system has shifted over to being completely data driven. This gives everyone the option to 'tweak' the rules in the way they like to play them. Gene Masters and Mike Behrman have done the bulk of this conversion.
A large number of people have playtested and helped develop Quest overthe last 13 years. Thanks to Curt Herwig for helping to improve the Shopping Lists. Long term playtesters: Mark Ayen, Dave Porter, Dave Boettcher, Curt Ozorowicz, Cathy Deignan, Cathy Biagioli, Paula Wehmeyer, Gabby Bate, Laurie Harrison, Scott Winkowski, Joyce Greenholdt, Kathy Richmond, Alan Esker, Charles Winata, Ray and Robin Talley, Curt and Leah Waltman, Michael Higgins,Andy Ensign, Tom Barnett, Curt Herwig, Steve Stempfley, Zachary Bottorff, Jack Masters.
There are a lot of people who have dropped by the Dungeon Masters Association and played a game of Quest or two. If you've played Quest in Madison with us sometime in the last 13 years and you would like to see your name here (or we've misspelled it!), please contact us and let us know! A system like Quest is only as good as the ideas and inputs from the play-testers and we would like to acknowledge everyone who's contributed.
